Environmental Health Field Specialist

We are seeking a qualified individual to work full time in our Environmental Health Program. No specific certification or experience required, however experience in County Environmental Health Program may be beneficial. This is a small staff covering only Warren County providing services such as well water testing, supervision of well plugging, septic inspections for installation/repairs/TOT, well and septic permitting, Tanning salon inspections, Tattoo parlor inspections and swimming pool inspections as well as managing environmental health complaints. Much of the work time for this position is out of the office during the spring, summer and falls months. This position is supervised by the Public Health Administrator and is employed by the Warren County Board of Health.

Human Resources Director

The City of Norwalk and Warren County, Iowa are seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Human Resources Director. This would be a shared position and qualified applicants should have at minimum a bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR with at least three years of experience in human resources, labor relations or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training. SHRM certification and public sector experience with payroll administration preferred. Must be a strong team-player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Home Care Director

We are seeking an RN/RN BSN with home care experience who is able to effectively lead our small home care team. Home care experience is a must. This position would supervise the home care staff and assist the Public Health Administrator to assure regulatory compliance in the home care business. This nurse would be on call every 3rd weekend for home care services. Regular hours M-F 8-4:30. Day to day duties would include scheduling of staff, Quality improvement activities including chart audits, activities associated with policy review/writing and participation with advisory/infection control and QI Committees. Also would assist with home care visits at times and complete some Public Health funded assessments for homemaker clients.
